I built all my (plastic) wooden ship models in my 20’s to early 30’s, so at least 20 years ago…
Of the many dozens of plastic models I built in my youth, the 4 sailing ships I have displayed in these web pages are the only ones to survive. They were also the last for quite some time.
They have a bit of battle damage and parts missing here and there but by and large have held up pretty well. As these kits are all still available (if not actually in production) I hope these pictures help you make up your mind on the respective kit’s merits.
This kit has held up well, just the top sail on the main mast is MIA.
