This is the Airfix British Battlecruiser HMS Hood in 1/600 scale. It’s an older kit, which shows the Hood prior to her last refit. While not up to modern standards for detail, when completed she’s a handsome model none the less. Had I gone all out and added Photo Etched parts I’m sure she would look much better. She was my second build after picking up the hobby again and I was pretty happy with the way she turned out. I only had one spot of trouble with parts fit visible at the stern. The walls coming down from the boat deck didn’t want to sit flush on the quarter deck, nothing major though and I’m sure I could have made it less noticeable with a bit more effort. I may fix it yet and add rigging and maybe some PE rails, seems my projects are never really “done”.
